The Birth of Fear
05:01
|

Horrors came
to mock the sun
ten reasons, forty answers
in living silence woke the Night
on the mountain stones
-
or is it just
a dream of death?
-
Horrors came
to block the sun
gave reasons for the answers
we lived and cried
we fought and died
on the mountain stones
Horrors came
turned out the sun
fell reasons, faulty answers
in breathing silence
walked the Night
on the mountain stones

In a wicked dream you came
and crawled into my life.
You said we were broken men
and that justified our crime.
But don't you see
that it can't be justified?
Unless the killer in our hearts
is sacrificed...
From the ashes that you've kept
well hidden in your heart
a new fire may rise and burn your shroud
and strip you of the lie.
The dream's gone,
we both lie bare for all to see.
And now the answers come
their knives as sharp as truth can be...

A Shore Without a Sea
08:49

The gifts of light are manyfold
yet few have eyes to look inside and see them.
Not you, my dear – your love is cold
and this is how it goes...
The Tempter's fires are great and old
and who had not forsaken love to seek them?
This is how the prince, the star, the poor
rejoice in death
then go...
I walk the line between the worlds
and ever-present is your love.
But day's a prison and the night's like fire on my skin.
The sin of blindness draws me in.
Through skin and death,
through bone and earth
I shall bear witness to your birth
(and) then: no more prison and no veil upon my eye
all kingdom's sights within a sigh...

Strangers
04:45
|
|
||
The colors of the world are dim and pale
for the one who've lost his way
and the light's a distant dream
a grey winter's dream.
As lovers torn apart solemn paths we tread
“Well, that's life”- you'd hear them say.
But tell me, do we dare to see
our pride's true name is Fear,
do we dare to see?
Our never-healing solitude is in the end
created by our own hands
but the cynic's heart is never free
and us - we are deceived
thus we are deceived.

The Demolished Man
06:02
|
|
||
Your days shall fall to darkness
and your fears,
they'd come to steal your hope
piece by piece
and when your ashes settle
in the urns of time
there'd be no one to ask:
“What's your crime?”
You know you should have held on
to your love
but you mistook it for another woe
and so it didn't last
alas, you did
forever hanging from your sacrificial tree.

The Play

1.
Icy winds scream at my window.
In my avian dreams I'm far away – out of time
and out of reach of your bloody claws.
But they call me...
2.
The honey's dripping still down the withered tree
and the only ones to taste it are the flies.
Is this what they call wisdom in these parts?
Well, the wisest part of us can be the worst...
3.
As predators we are in all but honesty
and we take the kind for weak and conquer them.
Our song is loud
and thundering
but so little light, so little light it brings...
All cruel and unforgiving egos we must be
for our strength relies on images of strength.
To lose it all?
Damned if we lose it all!
We, heirs of Ozymandias, The strong!
4.
And then it came to me
with a sword and with a kiss...
but I cannot tell the two apart...
5.
The crown you vowed to keep upon your head beheads you now,
the burden of the gown is no less grave...
Well, tell me, mortal man, are you still whole?
Or you hold no substance at all?
There is a hole within our Whole
where terrors hide and crawl
and dreadful blades are honed in there at night...
...I hope one day you'll see the poetry in me...
